Wall moisture problems? What is the cause?

Wall erosion, crumbling plaster and paint, as well as molds and salt crystals on the wall, are caused by water rising up from the ground. This is also known as rising damp, which is the upward movement of groundwater in the form of moisture through the wall or masonry.

This occurs because walls or masonry have a capillary action that draws moisture upward. In addition, external factors such as the earth’s magnetic field also contribute to this. This allows water to rise high up in the wall.

Despite gravity, moisture can still rise up to two meters. Biodry prevents the water from rising, thus putting an end to problems such as wall erosion, mold on walls, or peeling paint.

When moisture moves up in a foundation, a process occurs in which the foundation and the wall become weakly electrically charged. This can be directly measured in the wall using a voltmeter. What is rising damp?

Rising damp is the upward movement of groundwater in the form of moisture through capillaries in the masonry or walls.

How does Biodry put an end to rising damp?

Biodry eliminates electric disturbances that are caused by the natural magnetic field of the Earth, stray currents, deviations in the magnetic field, underground water flow in the earth’s surface, or less commonly, electromagnetic waves emitted by external energetic sources, that facilitate the upward movement of moisture.

How do I know it really works?

During installation, a qualified Biodry technician measures the electrical potential in the wall with a multimeter. Once in operation, the drying process cannot be interrupted. It is only a matter of time before you see the results.

When are the walls dry?

The drying time depends on the type of wall, the height to which the moisture has risen, and other factors that depend on the type of building. Based on statistics, the system is able to dry out 60-70% of the moisture from the walls within the first year. Experience has shown that a wall will be completely dry within three years.

What is the lifespan of the device?

The device has no moving mechanical parts or electrical wiring that can deteriorate. This means that it still works just as well even after many years. To date, no devices have been returned to us, and we have not had to repair any devices, even after years of continuous use.
